phpFox V4 Feature Requests
We need more feedback now as we are looking at the features https://github.com/moxi9/phpfox-feature-requests/issues to see what clients are interested in from the requests there. Please comment in the feature requests you want to see implemented. Note that we just need to gauge interest and cannot promise that requests with lots of interest can be implemented as we will only implement things that will enhance the product without causing harmful side effects. Please remember, if submitting, to follow the posted guidelines in this thread and at the github area. That section is ONLY for small core improvements and not for full fledged features. Thank you.

Hi  Watcharaphol,

I am afraid that the feature you want doesn't exist in phpFox default, however, if you want to hide " the option (Repeat) on create event page", we can help you do that via custom work which incurs addtional cost. If you are interested, please help us submit a ticket in https://clients.phpfox.com/ and write down your request, our customazation team will get in touch with you shortly.

Stay safe.

Hi Randy,

Thanks for your comment, your idea has been transferred to our deployment team and we will consider carefully to add it in the improvement lists of the next phpFox versions.

Have a nice day ahead and stay safe all.

Vinny.

Hannah, after a few minutes researching it (like 10 minutes) I realized it would be better to encrypt through the server like you mentioned.  Although, this will be put on the backburner until the site gets HUGE ;)

John, I an not a golfer, so I can only guess at what that thing might possibly be. Is it used to take golf tees out of the ground? 😳

Regarding words or images, if you are talking about the anti-spam phrases which are used during the sign-up process, I was actually using both. In fact, even my phrases were animated GIFs to make it more difficult for bots to be able to read them.

Sadly, when I upgraded from 4.8.3 to 4.8.4, something caused the anti-spam mechanism to break, so that the images are no longer appearing during sign-up. As a result, new users are unable to answer the question, and so the phpFox script throws an error.

Si, for now, I have disabled the anti-spam feature during sign-up. In fact, I haven't even reported the problem to the phpFox staff yet, because I've been too busy, or just too tired.

Anyway, what I am asking for in this thread is not a new way to test new members to make sure they are real people. After all, we can already do that. Rather, what I want is a link to some other social network in which they participate, so I can learn more about them.

After some searching through the codes, I found these things. Just want to share, in case someone is also having concerns about this.

The only problem with these settings is that they do not appear until a user has created some content so it is quite confusing. If a new user goes to these settings, they will be empty because they don't have any content. However, as they create content (pages, groups, photos, videos etc...) for each module, a setting will appear in this menu, allowing the user to restrict viewing to "community, friends, or no one".

You can show empty tabs by changing the setting in CP Admin. Find the setting with keword : "profile.show_empty_tabs"

Furthermore, if you want hide some menus you can do that by manipulating it using your own template. The behaviour is defined by the template "profile.block.pic.html.php".

We have got your thought. However, currently, the feature you want does not exist in phpFox default. We suppose that you are going to "notifications settings". In that case, we can add this feature via custom work which incurs additional cost. Kindly open a new support ticket from your client area so that our technical team can investigate and estimate the project to provide you with a quote to proceed further.

Sorry, I don't know of any way to put it after a few paragraphs as that would have to take the string stored in the database and break it down to put the google code between paragraphs before it is present on the screen.

I do know where you can display text/variable after the blog and before the posted in categories text.

Phpfox discourages changing the code and will not be responsible, so do at your own risk.  Always remember to have a backup copy in case you mess up your site..and believe me we all do that at least once (myself a dozen times)

For blogs go to file

PF.Site/Apps/core-blogs/views/controller/view.html.php

after line 39 where it says {$aItem.text|parse}

if you paste the variable below, this blogs current category should show up right after the blog.

{$sCategories}

The issue is going to be whether or not Google AdSense code works in a template as everything has to be enclosed in curly brackets unless it is CSS.  Not sure if you can slap some code in there and it will work.

If that works then I will look up the forum spot for you :)
