On both: a block on the site homepage (after log-in) showing the new threads

and secondly a block showing groupforums on the forums homepage.

Allthough, I must say, that the first query would be more important to me.

It could be next to impossible, but when you don't believe in your success, then it will be impossible for sure.

With phpfox 1.6 it is impossible due to the many "blockers" in the script.

Now phpfox 2.0 is on development and if they don't develope new blockers into their software, it would be possible to get 1 million more members with it. Once you got so many members, then it isn't impossible anymore to get 20 million members more.

phpfox 2.0 just needs to be userfriendly and comfortable. It must have a great overview, an easy navigation and some kind of circulation, then the users will always come back to your community. When I can organize my daily life and manage my friends, then I can call it a great social community. I want that it will be easy to contact my friends and show them something of myself, i.e. my photo albums, my movies, my music, my blog, and my thoughts etc...

Of course, you also need such a brilliant domain name like ^^

And you need to have many many languages, in correct grammar, and you need a good team for every language.

If you have this all, you will be surprised how easy it will be to get new members without a limit.

All I hope is that they will not build blockers in the software, it will be just negative for their clients communities and so for their own succeess. Noone can really want this I think.

maybe some sort of topic for each module is needed, and then feature requests for the modules go in the appropraite topic.

this would be nice. especially if we can see what some moders are going to be working on. it will also help other moders being that we dont need 25 different versions of the same thing. and so some of us on a tight budget can start to put together financial plans for upgrades

Yes thats correct, from the admin panel you could even assign the mail folders to the profiles if you want.

I'm also assuming there will be different profile types so we can set them up differently?

For example, you could have a Musicians profile with a different layout than that of a Recording Company, etc?

so, this was example for discussion or there is concretely solution for separated languages?

Yes as Purefan mentioned it is a discussion, but it should be high on the list to revamp the method. I'm sure we are all tired and worn out from the 1.6 method that makes you feel like you are on a treasure hunt or lost in the woods.

I sometimes feel that they just don't want to let go of the old ways because they are used to it or should I quote someone "lazy" to change it.

Yes, you are right. An "if" condition will be the best solution.

But I would like to know from phpfox team (Purefan!!!:smileSmile how will V2 handle language changing regarding the content of the site. Will it be mixed up, or will it show only the blogs, images, members, foruns, groups, for that language?

Purefan ::

What I am talking about would be in the member account page and the option for members to display on their page for friends to see if they want to display it there.

currently Fern is working on this for v1.6.21 but this is something that I despreatly need as I spend more time on my site then anywere except

so having a calendar to keep track of personal appointments that I can access from anywere is extreamly important so I can get rid of all the sticky notes...

here is the calendar I am talking about

The poll comment feature (with privacy setttings: everyone can post, moderate comments before publishing, no comments) is already completed (think not in the alpha though but its done on my end) as for the signup think we had already reached a consensus and with V2's ability to move blocks around this was already defined.

As for the contest Im afraid you need to add a feature request for this and may I suggest you make it very detailed because it is prone to several points of view and add ons so its easy to expect something different.

Could you tell me where you are from and what's your native language? I always love to analyse our website name a bit more. I choosed it because it has no special meaning in any language and it's very easy to remember.

Nero was one of the more disgusting Roman Emperors.
and your title suggests that I will get my "fix" of him...

in English, a "fix" is a dose of what is usually an illegal drug, or something addictive.

A fix of heroin is what I need on a daily basis to keep from suffering from withdrawal symptoms, if I am addicted to heroin.

"to fix" could also mean the process of injecting oneself with a drug.

Marz, I m talking about phpfox version 2. Smile There ain't any mod done for it yet. And all the above 3 options are built in by default to the core blog module.

And btw, RSS mod I am talking about is not to create your phpfox blog rss but to read any other blog feed. Like adding the ability to add feeds from my wordpress site or blog to my phpfox site.

Same problem here. In IE7 (7.0.5730.13) I click on the button to accept the license agreement and it just says "processing" forever.

With Firefox I didn't encounter any trouble on the install.
