Thank you for this post. I have it stickied for now. I do hope you don't get inundated with a lot of questions while you sort things out. Much appreciation for your family's very professional manner during this extremely difficult time.
Is it also required to demo the admin backend of an addon?
Not a live demo of it. We will accept a video demo to show the functionality of the add on if it's strictly an admincp add on. Other add ons that just have admin settings can have screen shots of the admin settings if they are not strictly an admincp add on.
Since the add on is added, presales can be asked in their discussion per our rules. FYI, I have purchased it and see no reason not to for those having an issue to purchase it again at such a low price. This is a new arcade with a new cool layout. It's even got instant ajax search. I love it. The cost is very low even for me and I'm not rich at all. I will close this thread as the forum is not for add on discussions. http://awesomescreenshot.com/0d52phmn14 this is it on my site.
In looking through some discussions on some free add ons, I saw one client complain because they had to log into a developer's site to get the free add on. Well, so? My own free stuff requires you to register and go through my verification process (albeit a pain to do but my reasons have been stated many times). Other developers also require a log in. Is that really so hard for you to do when a developer took time to make a product and then offer it free? Really? Come on folks! Don't be lazy about it or obstinate. Make an account and post a review when you use free stuff or please just don't use it. Don't complain about taking another few minutes to sign up on a site to receive free stuff. It took a heck of a lot longer than that to make the add on, I can assure you of that.
Due to client's concerns, I am posting just a very brief update. I have been contacted last week by Brian's family regarding this. They will post an update here in the forum when everything is settled which should be within the coming weeks. For now, please don't be concerned about your add ons as everything is taken care of at the moment and for the foreseeable future. Please do not attempt to alter the products to remove any callback/bridge as your products could then be forfeit. Developers altering and removing the callback and distributing the files could face issues here with their developer's accounts.
Support for his products is still being handled on his site. Thank you all for your input and concern.
I recall some xbox games used pseudonyms that were close to the team names and jerseys that were similar enough to be recognizable but not the same so as to avoid legal mumbo jumbo. Example: Eagles = Beagles LOL Even the player names were close but not the same. Then it followed with real stats from past years for the teams.
http://www.phpfox.com/addons/view/3-x-rael-avatars/ ok folks go get it! And it's not limited in just Pets, you could trade tattoos, bikes, cars, and anything else you can think of so any niche can use this. :) Just need your own imagination added to it to make it really soar!
I am making big changes to works site at the moment and it's a lot harder because it's a non responsive design, I needed to do these changes now and the responsive design is still a couple of months from being complete
There is no such thing - you would need to purchase an app, do the back end work to connect it to your community and then publish it to the various stores. Alternately you could look at better mobile in the addons section and see if that would fit your needs
IRC is a stand alone application, and as far as i know there isn't any code to integrate it into phpfox. Im sure it can be done, but it would take a certain level of know-how.
It is just a page created in the normal Facebook create a page for business. Facebook has tips and tutorials for doing that since it is not part of PHPFox you would look there as the tutorials would be on Facebook.
I'm not sure what you mean about needing an add on.
If you are a member of my site you can see a tutorial to make a menu to show online members, http://scripttechs.com/article/138/how-to-show-users-online-in-v3/ (log in to see it) . If you need it in a block format, I think there might be an add on for that in the add ons.
I'm new to this thread (and to PhpFox). Is there, in fact, a way to incorporate Pinterest functionality into PhpFox ?
I'm using the default PhpFox theme and it works well for my purposes. But I would love to incorporate Pinterest-like features into a *part* of my site (for example... another menu link on the left - in addition to: blogs, forums, etc.
