To make your PHPfox Social Network more unique you should change all the small visible details that can make your community unique to your niche. One handy thing is to change your favicon as that will make your members and followers connect to your website's brand.
To change the favicon of your PHPfox Social Website you follow the steps below:
- You will need a square image, max 200px x 200px.
1. Rename the image and call it "favicon.ico"
2. Go to your root folder and upload it there
3. Clear your web browser's cache
Congratulations you've changed your favicon!  :star2:

In V4 you need to set it in the themes edit top left hand corner as it is hard coded to PFFOX

PF.Base/include/library/phpfox/phpfox folder, then on line 1116 of phpfox.class.php change http://www.phpfox.com/favicon.ico to > http://www.yourdomain.com/favicon.ico

Source edits are overwritten on upgrades and this is not necessary to do. Changing the favicon is working on my test sites, live on a server. Did you fully clear browser cache? Are you using 4.0.5?

Ok 4.0.6 is not released yet so it's not packaged for install. I think that changes when it gets packaged.

Hi Mobicon, have you solved the problem?
Favicon is quite easy to change, I uploaded favicon.ico to my document root (same place where is index.php) and it's working! I also changed PF.Base/include/library/phpfox/phpfox folder, of phpfox.class.php change http://www.phpfox.com/favicon.ico to > http://www.yourdomain.com/favicon.ico as one44 said in another threat.
