I HATE THE NEW BROWSE PAGE! let us not forget how many stupid people there are in the world. it is not user friendly. i have got many complaints and many emails asking how to find the browse filter because people do not realize its a hidden drop down! how do i remove the drop down and make the browse filter stationary again?

Would changing the icon help?

Would changing the icon help?

it could but would it have to be the same exact dimensions? because if so then no. i could put a button with the word “filters” on it. but it would have to be larger than what’s their right now.

You could change the font icon number to one of these combinations.  Will give you the location if you like any of these combinations.  This way it stays the same size although not perfect but hopefully a little better :)

Ok, then make a image of the word filter with an image around 24 pixel for height.

Then go to PF.Base/module/user/template/default/block/search.html.php

on line 8 there is  <i class="ico ico-dottedmore-o"></i>

if you remove that (make sure to write down what your doing in case you don't like it or at least make a backup of the file and name it searchORG.html.php

anyways remove that ico and put in its place

<img src="https://yourdomain/yourfile-location/name-of-image.png"; height="24" />

Remember upgrades for sure and maybe rebuild core might erase this so you would have to put it back after each time but if you write down what changes you done it only takes a few seconds to copy and paste from your documentation.

Oh...24px worked for the icons...so you might have to change the height amount if it looks too big.  If you can make the image height the exact same as the height in the code so the browser is not trying to adjust the height...it will look clearer if the actual image is say 20 pixel and the code say 20 as well or whatever the number ends up being.
