Tell me I'm going crazy, but where is the privacy option in users settings to not "Receive Newsletters" ? It's pretty important for spam and GDPR purposes, but I simply can't find it, although it is referenced in the Newsletter app, as it always has been.

Check this setting if you want to override privacy setting "Receive Newsletter". That mean users will receive newsletter although they turn off "Receive Newsletter".

I've looked in profile, account, privacy (email) settings on front end, and newsletter, user group settings, site settings, etc in admincp, and nothing

Dear  LEthaLity ,

Thank you for your report, I confirm that this is a bug and we'll fix in the next version of newsletter app.

Dear LEthaLity,

Let me address out things which I know on this system. Its permission is in order

View Your Profile >> View your profile information >> View your basic information

1. View your profile

This is the highest permission, and it will limit to access profile

2. View your profile information

Just take effect if #1 is available and its scope is on the "Info" tab

3. View your basic information

Just take effect if #1 and #2 are available and its scope is on "Basic info" section in "Info" tab

So based on the user decision to choose a suitable option.

Ex: I want to hide Basic info only as sensitive info (#1, #2 are on, and #3 is off)

Besides, the core will redirect to a unique page relating to the permission and you will not have a separate message on each section.

Kind Regards,

Hi LEthaLity,
Currently, in the latest version of phpFox (4.5.2), admin can decide to show usename or displayname or both of them in Register form. You can find the setting in Admincp -> Settings -> Registration -> Display Full Name (Display Name) and Username on Sign Up.

there is no database on the flash IRC side, it's just an interface, I'd like it to pre-fill the chat-login with the users logged-in username though, for convenience. So my options are to either add my own sql stuff pulling the info (effort), or something using the PHPFox classes
